Stephane's Journal

 Journal entry number 1
Hello everyone I just finished reading chapter 61 and when I say 61 I do mean it. The author decided it would be a cool idea to use prime numbers as chapters because of Christopher's unique knowledge of prime numbers. But that's besides the point so far I've learned that Christopher doesn't really listen to authority. He says that people are confusing and this is why he doesn't follow instructions. For an example for when he doesn't follow orders is, when his dad tells him to drop the case of poor Wellington he decides that him alone will crack the case of who killed him.

Journal entry number 2
I'm about four sixths of the way through the book and I got to say this is probably one of the best books I've ever read. Every single page brings a new aspect to the book like when Christopher sneaks into his dads room to find his book. It puts you in such suspense it's unbelievable, like at any moment his Father could walk in and hurt him again. But Christopher looks for his book. After finding his book I was surprised to find out that Christopher's Mother was still alive! I thought she was dead since the beginning of the book. This was such a surprise that I just couldn't stop reading. This added a new level of suspense. I didn't want to put the book down even though I had to go to bed. I really wanted to find out what happened next. I couldn't wait tell morning so I kept reading. I discovered that there was more than just the one letter from his mom but their was a ton. Every single one was hidden for all this time from Christopher. In this situation I don't know how I would feel. I think I'd feel a lot of hatred towards my dad if he had done this to me. Although my mom is not dead or left so you don't have to worry. But yea I would be shocked towards my dad and I don't think I would be able to forgive him I wonder if Christopher will be able to forgive him after all he has done. This knowledge given to the reader after all this time is definitely a really important and extremely surprising part of the book. I can't wait to read what happens next.

Hey everybody! I'm pleased to say I am almost done the book, I think about three fourths now, and I got to say  this book is getting really intense! The whole fact that the dad is the one who killed the dog. Blew my mind and that he is having a relation with Mrs. Wellington. This whole book just flipped in the second half and got really exciting!. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat (not literally)  waiting to see what happens next. I really am enjoying this book. The way Christopher  has to evade the  police and his father on his journey to his supposed dead mother. I found this really exciting because I find in general chases are really awesome. So far this book is amazing and I'm going to finish it now aha so ill be back, see you soon.:)

Just finished the book and I got to say it was the best book  I've read in a very long time. I mean this book was really interesting. Maybe it could have started a bit faster but that's just my personal opinion. Other than that it was amazing. At the end when Christopher finds his mom I was like "YEEEEA!" But yea it was a very heart whelming scene. I don't like the fact that he still lets his dad visit though... But it's their family. I know if I went through something like that I would not forgive my dad. Just saying... But yea this book was really amazing and I hope to find another book by this author. The reason is because I really like the way he writes and personally I can't find any good books lately. So yea I strongly recomend this book to everyone! Okay I have to go now, if you have any questions just ask.

  2. In journal entry one you gave an excellent example of how he doesn't listen to authority, can you give any others?

    1. Yes actually when he is inside Mrs.Wellingtons yard the night of the newly found dead dog, a police officer asks Chris to go with him to the police car. Chris does not listen at first which results in the police officer getting struck and Christopher getting put in jail.

  3. If you were in Christopher's shoes for journal entry two (discovering all your mom's letters) would you try to contact her as soon as you could or wait?

    1. I would like to think that I would try to contact my mom, but I don't think I would be able to. The shock of finding out that my mom was still alive this whole time would be to much for me to handle. On the other hand I would want to see her as soon as possible because I would've missed her greatly. So I cant really answer your question, I'm sorry Susan.

  4. In journal entry three you bring up the exhilarating fact that he had to evade the police, why was this?

    1. The reason he had to evade the police was because he was running from home. Also I believe that the dad does not want to see the mom because of what she did. Therefor he believes that if Chris sees her again so will he. That is most likely why the dad wants his son caught by the cops.

  5. Why do you think Christopher still allows his dad to come visit him once a month even after everything he put Christopher through?

    1. I believe that Christopher lets him do this because he is just a little boy and I think that all children want a big happy family. So maybe Christopher wants his dad and mom to get back together therefor he gets them to meet up once and a while.
